Our focus is on ensuring every child in our care has the best start to life; we’re doing this by upskilling our educators, so they have the knowledge and expertise to work with children with developmental vulnerabilities, or those displaying challenging behaviours.
We believe that early intervention works best when it’s delivered in partnership with our families. That’s why we offer parents and caregivers the chance to build their skills and knowledge too, through carefully selected webinars and in-person training.
Did you know that according to the 2021 Australian Early Development Census, 1 in 5 children have a developmental vulnerability in one or more areas¹?
This statistic highlights the need for early intervention supports to be in place in the early years, when the foundations for all future learning are set. If you would like to learn more about early intervention at MercyCare, please speak with a Centre Manager—they’d be happy to help!
