How to sign up for MercyCare Early Learning
We would love to meet you and let you experience first-hand a MercyCare early learning centre. Below are some things to consider:
Government Subsidies
Child Care Subsidy
Government Subsidies can take up to 28 days to process, so when you’re thinking about child care it’s a good idea to organise government assistance first. To see if you qualify for government assistance, there is a subsidy calculator you can use to gauge your estimated entitlement.
Meet us
Book a Tour
Book a tour to arrange a time where you can tour the centre, meet our staff, and find out more about our early learning programs and philosophy. We have a number of Early Learning Centres across the Perth metropolitan area.
Your enrolment pack
Enrol with Us
Our centre manager will pass on an enrolment pack at your tour of the centre. This will include everything you need to know about our centres, what to expect and all relevant fees.

Easing into childcare
Orientation
We offer orientation days for your child so they can get to know our educators, and we can get to know them.
Allowing a child time to familiarise themselves with the centre, children in their room and the educators means a much smoother transition when you and your child are ready to start.
What to expect on Day One in our child care centres
Parents can never provide too much information about their child to our educators. After all, it is the details parents provide about their child’s preferences and personalities that make settling that child in to child care a much smoother process.
An orientation visit provides little ones with a transition into child care and parents an opportunity to actually see how the day runs and an insight into the learning programs. It is also a great opportunity for our educators to get to know the child’s individual routine and a little more about them.
We ask questions like, ‘how do you like to put your child to sleep?’ and ‘what types of things do you like to do with your child?’. We want to know what works for them, because what matters to you, matters to us.
What to bring on your first day
- Legionnaire or bucket style sun hat
- Extra clothing
- Extra underwear if child is being toilet trained
- If required, a dummy and/or empty clean milk bottles. Bottles must match number of feeds required.
- Nappies (min 5 per day)
- Unopened formula tin if required
- Water bottle or sipper cup
- Wet bag to store any soiled clothes in
- Small backpack to keep your child’s belongings in
- Legionnaire or bucket style sun hat
- Nappies if required (min 5 per day)
- Extra clothing
- Extra underwear if child is being toilet trained
- Wet bag to store any soiled clothes in
